10 Nights Itinerary Coverage: Leh – Nubra Valley – Turtuk – Pangong – Delhi
A warm welcome on arrival at Delhi Airport by our representative. Meet our driver & transferred to hotel. In the evening, we have arranged a welcome dinner for group members for discussion and introduction about your journey.
This morning after breakfast check out from hotel and proceed towards Delhi Airport to catch your domestic flight to Ladakh. Leh is the capital of region and located at the altitude of 11482 fee t. On arrival at Leh Airport, you will be greeted by our local team member and transferred to hotel.Relax and acclimatise yourself for the remainder of the day.
Morning at leisure or if you feel acclimatise, we will start afternoon tour a bit early to take an orientation walk with guide around Leh, visiting popular landmarks such as Leh Palace, built in 17th century, Ladakh Arts & Media Organisation Centre, and the Munshi House. Lunch will be served at The Tibetan Kitchen restaurant where you will try the authentic Momo and other local delicacies. Enjoy Ladakhi Tea in city and walk around the old city and market area for a relaxing view in evening of Shanti Stupa. Dinner at hotel followed by overnight stay.
Rise early this morning to embark on a spiritual tour at Thiksey Monastery, located on the top of a rocky outcrop, at an altitude of 11,800 feet. Thiksey is the largest structure in Central Ladakh and comes next only to Hemis in terms of importance. Attend morning prayers with chants, scents and monks. Return to hotel for breakfast and relax before we move to Hemis Monastery, located on the western bank of Indus River, is the richest and the biggest monastery in Ladakh. Explore assembly halls, deities and the library related to Buddhism. Attend the Hemis festival celebrations and watch monks perform a series of splendid masked dances. Return to Leh and enjoy your lunch. Then we will take 15 minutes’ drive to The Kal where our guide will walk you through wool processing and share about the cultural significance of the tribes of Changthang and their wool. Return to hotel afterwards and enjoy your dinner followed by overnight stay.
Return to Hemis monastery and soak up the carnival-like atmosphere. On the second day of the Hemis tsechu, a mummy is dissected, symbolising the destruction of the human ego and the triumph of Buddhism over ignorance and evil. We will come back to our hotel in afternoon for lunch and relax. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant. Overnight in Leh.
After breakfast we will start our journey to Nubra Valley, is a part of the old silk road to Central Asia. We will pass through the second highest motorable pass known as ‘Khardung La’. Spot Yak and observe mesmerising views of Karakoram range as you enter in the valley, a great combination of fantastic desert landscape and fertile lands. On arrival, check in at your resort and spend the remaining day at leisure. Dinner will be served at resort.
Morning after breakfast we leave for excursion to the northernmost and India’s last village on the border area to Pakistan. Stroll in the streets and indulge in conversation with locals to know interesting history. Return to Hunder and enjoy high tea in the resort grounds before we move out for Bactrian Camel Safari over the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
Leave hotel after breakfast and drive to Pangong Tso via Wari La Pass. Pangong Lake is one of the highest altitude lakes in Asia with stunning views and is also known to change colors, appearing blue, green and red at different times of a day. On the way to Pangong we will stop for lunch enroute. On arrival, check in at your camps and spend the evening at leisure. .
Observe the views in morning and embark on drive to Leh. On arrival, check in at hotel and spend the day at leisure or alternatively we can arrange visit to a family for a Ladakhi hospitality and locally produced wine. Return to hotel in evening and stay overnight.
After breakfast check out from hotel and we will transfer you to Leh Airport to board flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you will be greeted by our representative followed by transfer to hotel. In the evening, we will visit Akshardham Temple to see the fountain show followed by farewell dinner at restaurant.
